British food : What a waste !

"We have eyes bigger than our stomachs and buy too much. We eat too much and are too lazy or ignorant to do anything with the leftovers. Food is thrown away because we are obsessed with sell-by dates."

Avec cet article de The independent je comprend mieux pourquoi la consommation est aussi importante ici, on a l'impression que les gens font toujours leurs courses, et malheureusement, comme on pouvait el craindre, il y a énormément de gaspillage : "Figures now show that a fifth of the food we buy in supermarkets goes straight into the bin and 30 to 40 per cent of all produce is simply binned."

Ca fait quand meme beaucoup...
